How does coaching work?

How does coaching work?

Meeting. Once you get in touch, we’ll find a time that works for both you and the coach. You’ll meet virtually with one of our coaches one-on-one for an hour at a time. We have both English and Spanish-speaking coaches.

Goal setting. Come to your first session with a financial goal, and the coach will help you clarify that goal and what it looks like. For example, if you want to raise your credit score, we can decide how many points you’d like it to increase and an end date to check your score again.

Making an action plan. Together, we’ll make an action plan that works for you and your situation. Potential steps in your action plan could be creating a budget, applying for low-interest credit cards, or contacting a mortgage lender. We can also refer you to community resources if you need more tailored assistance.

Following up. At following sessions, we’ll track your progress and keep you accountable to your plan. Coaches are available to meet as many times as you need in order to fulfill your goal or establish new goals.
