Squishtivities

Squishtivities is held monthly at the Monroe Community Library right after Story Time, at 10:30am! Best for families with children ages 2-5 years old. Thursday, January 18 Mystery Painting Using a white crayon, you will draw on paper. After you paint over it with watercolor, your art will appear. Make a prediction and watch the transformation! Thursday February 15 – Wrapping Paper & Card Making Practice your fine motor skills and creative expression by using ink pads and stamps to create your very own take home paper and greeting cards. November 16 – String Painting Let your child dip a piece of string in paint and make a design on their paper. Take home a fun piece of artwork. Friday, March 15 – Collage Art Creation Get your fingers ready for some ripping, tearing and cutting! You’ll glue different sized paper shapes to create a beautiful one-of-a-kind collage. Create, play, and learn with sensory play, exploration and crafts. This program promotes the parent-child relationships and results in growth in creativity, individuality, cooperative play, problem solving and more! In partnership with the Monroe Community Library.
