Nurturing Parenting, Mondays, September 25 – November 27, from 6:00pm-7:30pm, with dinner served at 5:30pm. FREE, with incentives given for attendance. Childcare provided. Held at the Santiam Canyon Early Learning Center, 233 SW 3rd Ave., Mill City.

For parents/caregivers of children ages 0 – 12 years old. You will learn:

  • New skills and strategies to support positive parent/child relationships with ways to talk and interact better with your family
  • Ways to take care of yourself during the demands of parenting
  • Techniques for disciplining your kids in a positive way and share which strategies are working

Taught by Brian MacInnes and brought to you by Strengthening Rural Families in collaboration with LBCC-Parenting Success Network, with funding provided by DELC and thanks to the Santiam Canyon School District.

Squishtivities

Join Daniela at the Santiam Canyon Early Learning Center, 233 SW 3rd Ave., Mill City, at 10:30am on the 3rd Friday of the month!

Create, play, and learn with sensory play, exploration and crafts. This program promotes the parent-child relationships and results in growth in creativity, individuality, cooperative play, problem solving and more! For parents and/or caregivers and children of any age (adults must attend with their youth).

October 20- Finger Painting – Tactile senses are stimulated and refined as your child uses their hands to squish, mix and paint.

November 17- String Painting – Let your child dip a piece of string in paint and make a design on their paper. Take home a fun piece of artwork.

December 15- Sensory Bottle – Use your imagination to create a whimsicle and calming sensory bottle to take home.
